Elide is a very pleasant lady from Oltrepo Pavese who, at a certain stage in her life, decided to offer her knowledge of traditions to the tourists that visit this small corner of Italy. Her knowledge of history, farm culture, healthy food, tales and legends of the places she has always lived in.
She is seventy-four but very young in spirit and sends an energy you feel when entering her reign: the kitchen of ancient Greek origins. Her special dishes, along with a warm atmosphere, welcome you: ravioli with meat and squash, risotto with salame, brazed beef, mixed boiled meats and boiled chicken, mixed roasted meat and cooked salame; upon reservation donkey rib steak, local cold cuts and cheese, her cakes and marmalade pies.
Along with the various dishes, she will share recipes and offer advice on how to prepare them at home with ingredients you can buy from her farm. Right next door to the restaurant, Elide has a wonderful vegetable garden, and she also breeds chickens, hens and guinea hens in a totally natural environment.
Elide does not do all this alone. Her daughters and son-in-laws help her in the dining-room, in the kitchen and in the vegetable garden.
